Bakken Area Skills Center HOSA – Future Health Professionals is a student-led organization dedicated to helping students in grades 9–12 develop valuable skills, commit to lifelong learning, and grow into future healthcare leaders within North Dakota communities.

Our local chapter provides students with meaningful opportunities to volunteer, promote health education, organize healthcare industry events, and participate in fundraising activities. Through these experiences, students gain hands-on leadership, communication, teamwork, and professional skills that can help prepare them for careers in healthcare and related fields.

Our chapter currently has 32 student members and is entirely student- and donor-funded. Fundraising plays an important role in helping our students participate in the organization by supporting operating expenses and costs associated with attending the HOSA Fall and Spring Leadership Conferences. At these conferences, students have the opportunity to compete in healthcare-related events, demonstrate their knowledge and skills, and connect with other aspiring healthcare professionals.

HOSA – Future Health Professionals is an international student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education Division of the Association for Career & Technical Education (ACTE). HOSA’s two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the healthcare industry and enhance the delivery of quality healthcare to all people.

By supporting Bakken Area Skills Center HOSA, donors and community partners are helping provide students with opportunities to develop leadership skills, explore healthcare careers, gain real-world experience, and prepare for their futures while making a positive impact in their communities.
